Heel pain is a common complaint from runners and many suffer it in some form or another. Foot pain can be caused by a wide variety of conditions.


Minor and acute pain and injuries may be reduced with simple exercises, stretches, icing and rest. Major injuries and chronic pain may require medical attention like a physical therapist, treatments or even surgery. According to Footcare Facts, Plantar Fasciitis is the number one cause of heel pain. This can be as a result of improper foot position and overuse use of your feet while wearing poor quality or poor fitting shoes. In addition, women are 6 times more likely to suffer from plantar fasciitis.
